About Linkforage Writing
You don't impress by showing that you have everything...you impress by providing the right thing
Ever since I was a young kid I have loved gadgets. From train sets and camp stoves to educational kits with pistons and resistors, I've always flipped for stuff with lots of parts that fit together in different ways. There are some stand-out 2-D examples too, Richard Scarry's What Do People Do All Day Rube Goldberg drawings, M.C. Esher's impossible geometries, and recently Cathedral and Pyramid by Dan MacAulay
I do, by gum, appreciate a fascinating drawing with lots of objects and pathways. If it's a picture with hidden snaking trails that go right and left and in and out of nooks and crannies...I'm there. My eyeballs busily follow those depicted lines and curvy vias to trace where they would lead if I was that ant, that grain of sand, that blood cell heading back to the alveoli in the lung to get reoxygenated.
